And speaking of surviving members, I would like to mention Oz. When I hear Oz adding rhythm & blowing lead on his guitar, it makes me feel good. His sense of humor & lovelight shine through. And when I think of Oz, I naturally think of one of the greatest blues guitar players anywhere, anytime, Chicago’s very own Joe Kelley.
And that is what we do. We KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE by supporting the Chicago greats that the Chicago music venues have failed to support.
That is what the Chicago Studio Club is all about. I just cannot understand why a rhythm & blues great the likes of Pete Special is not shown the respect of the Chicago club owners that a legend in his own time deserves.
