Hyde Park Jazz Society closes out March with a bang. They are proud to present music by the great ART HOYLE and pay tribute to the contributions of Lauren Deutsch, Executive Director of the Jazz Institute of Chicago.
Joining Art on stage are ERIC SCHNEIDER on sax; BRADLEY WILLIAMS at the keyboard; DANNY SHAPERA on bass; and RUSTY JONES on with guest vocalist, BOBBI WILSYN. A featured soloist with Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Lena Horne, Peggy Lee, Quincy Jones, and Gene Ammons, among others, ART HOYLE performs with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and can be heard in clubs and concerts around town. And, if you have never heard his vocalese, you have a treat in store.
Lauren Deutsch has been at the center of Chicago’s jazz community for many years as the head of the Jazz Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Jazz Festival, Jazz Links, JazzCity, and NextGen Jazz. They honor her for her commitment to and support of Chicago’s jazz musicians.
