The Hyde Park Jazz Society will no longer be affiliated with the Checkerboard Lounge and is not responsible for any of the Sunday music programming at the Checkerboard.
WE WILL CONTINUE OUR JAZZ PROGRAMMING AT A NEW LOCATION–ROOM 43. WE WILL BE THERE FOR THE NEXT FIVE WEEKS–JUNE 28TH THROUGH THE END OF JULY AND MAY EXTEND OUR TIME BEYOND THAT DATE. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL VENUE WITH EASY PARKING .

A HOT(!) NEW SPACE, LOCATED AT 1043 EAST 43RD STREET
1.5 BLOCKS EAST OF ELLIS (JUST PAST BERKELEY) ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE STREET, AT THE BUS STOP SIGN. IT HAS ORANGE AWNINGS IN FRONT. PARKING IS AVAILABLE ON STREET & IN A FREE LOT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE STREET AT BERKELEY & 43RD, JUST WEST OF THE HEALTH CENTER. WE WILL HAVE A BAR, AND WE ARE CHECKING ON FOOD SERVICE. GREAT ROOM, NOT HARD TO GET TO, EASY TO PARK.
